Community
Committed to Our Neighbors
At Roger West, we love our neighborhood and we value our neighbors. That is why we have a company-wide commitment to serve in the community. As a business, we strive to make meaningful contributions by volunteering and giving financially. Currently we support two primary community initiatives: The Tampa Bay Scramble Charity Golf Tournament and the TBTF Foundation.
Tampa Bay Scramble Charity Golf Tournament
Each year Roger West hosts the Tampa Bay Scramble Charity Golf Tournament to benefit a local organization serving the Tampa Bay community. This year all proceeds from this charity golf tournament will go to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.
In the fall of 2007, the inaugural event raised $1,170 for the Suncoast Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In the Spring of 2009, the second annual event tripled the amount from the first event, raising $3000 for the United Way of Tampa Bay.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation®
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Born in 1980 when a group of caring individuals helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 69 chapters in the U.S. and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants more than 12,500 wishes a year and has granted more than 141,000 wishes in the U.S. since inception.

The TBTF Foundation
Founded in 2001 as a 501 (c)3 organization, the TBTF Foundation is the charitable arm of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF) and provides a method for TBTF members to give back to the community. The Foundation’s mission is to encourage and equip ‘at risk’ youth in the Tampa Bay area to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM). The Foundation’s initiatives, Computer-rific, Career Days, Scholarship Program and Tech Jam are all funded entirely by donations and support from corporate sponsorship.
In 2009, Roger West offered its creative services to help promote the Tech Jam event through a unique brand identity and website.
