User Control Description
We developed the XML Sitemap user control to make the process of creating a sitemap faster and easier for developers. This user control creates an XML sitemap in accordance to the sitemap protocol specification.
The XML sitemap can then be submitted to several search engine crawlers, including Google, Yahoo!, Windows Live, and Ask.com. This will allow your website pages to rank within these major search engines and be found on the Internet. This is a vital component of search engine marketing.
The control provides two basic properties for customizing the pages included in the site map:
- Include pages for which anonymous access has been denied
- Include pages for which indexing has been disabled
